Michael G. Hicks-President

 

 Mike is the President and founding member of Alliance Insurance Group, a full service employee benefit agency. The agency was created in 2003 on the principles of customer service, integrity and honesty. Alliance has grown from 3 employees and one location. They now have offices in Birmingham, Montgomery and Chattanooga.

 Prior to starting Alliance Insurance Group, Michael started his carrier with Liberty National in 1992 in Montgomery, AL. He was promoted to sales manager after just 3 years with Liberty National.  He then had the opportunity to work the Securance Insurance Group from 1999 to 2003. That is where the idea of starting his own employee benefit agency was started.

 Michael has received the designation of Life Underwriting Training Fellow (LUTC). 

 Michael has severed is community through his memberships in the Saint James United Methodist Church, Montgomery Chamber of Commerce, Alabama Independent Agents Association, Alabama Association of Life Underwriters, Society of Human Resource Management and as a coach with Dixie Youth Baseball.  

 Michael is a native of Montgomery, Alabama and attended the Auburn University in Montgomery. He now resides in Pike Road, Alabama with his wife of 12 years Michelle Bradley Hicks and two children Bradley (9) and Granger (6).

 

Mickey Owen-Vice President, Enrollment Coordinator

 

 Mickey Owen grew up in Montgomery, Alabama and attended Troy University and Auburn University at Montgomery majoring in Marketing and Business Administration. He spent 20 years in the grocery industry in various management positions on both sides of the cash register.

 

He entered the insurance industry in 1991 with a national company as a Life and Health agent specializing in Voluntary Benefits, Work Site Marketing and Individual Life Insurance. In 2003, he joined Michael Hicks to found Alliance Insurance Group to provide Brokers, Business and Clients the best possible and most cost effective mix of employee benefits.

 

He attained LUTCF (Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow) in 1993 and is an active member of the National Association of Health Underwriters. He attends Frazer Memorial Methodist Church. He has two children, Leah Owen Blanks and Matthew Owen.

 

Jill Wisener-Office Manager

 

Jill Wisener is an original employee of Alliance Insurance Group LLC which started in February 2003. Prior to Alliance, she has 14 years in the insurance industry starting at a small agency in Tallassee, AL and after a year moved to a larger agency in Montgomery, AL. Jill’s working experience includes all aspects of customer service to selling various group products.

 

With now 20+ years of experience, Jill is the Office Manager of Alliance Insurance Group LLC where she manages the variety of day to day issues associated with running an office. Jill manages the Accounts Receivable/Payable Departments, HR Department as well as our Voluntary Benefits Division.

 

Joey Marquez-Employee Benefits Consultant

 

Joey has spent 9 years in employee benefits industry and comes to Alliance Insurance Group after starting his career as a Sales Representative for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama.

 

Joey heads our Birmingham office and is responsible for the Birmingham, Cullman and Tuscaloosa area. As an Employee Benefits Consultant and Producer Joey specializes in group products such as medical and stoploss insurance. He is responsible for group customers service, vendor relations with our stoploss and health insurance providers as well as product development and marketing.

 

A graduate of The University of Alabama, and is a member of the Birmingham Society of Human Resource Management (BSHRM), Birmingham Area Health Underwriters (BAHU), Cullman Chamber of Commerce and serves as a Board Member for the Young Leaders Council of the King’s Ranch and Hanna Homes.

 

Joey is married to Andi Glover Marquez of Montgomery and they have made their home in Birmingham. They enjoy University of Alabama football games, traveling and spending time with family and friends on the farm.

 


 

Kelli Burt-Manager Alliance 125/Individual Life Products

 

Kelli Burt has been with Alliance Insurance Group since 2007.  Prior to becoming one of our team members, Kelli was a Dental Office Manager for 4 years. Currently she handles all of the Flexible Spending Account Administration and Individual Life Insurance Department.

 

The Flexible Spending Account administration includes processing claims, enrollments, installation and daily issues that may arise.  Weekly and monthly reports are distributed to our clients as well as daily transaction electronic notifications.

 

The Life Insurance Department can offer quotes in a short amount of time. Kelli’s knowledge of the carriers and their underwriting guidelines can help determine which carrier is best for the client and their individual situation.

 

Kris Stallworth-Benefit Advisor

 

Kris was raised in Brewton Alabama and attended The University of Alabama. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in Management. Kris worked Colonial Life as a Benefit Counselor.

 Kris joined Alliance Insurance Group in 2005 as a Benefits Consultant where he specializes in assisting our customers by determining what benefit choices will fit their family’s needs.

 

Kris is married to the former Adrienne Lowe of Birmingham, Alabama.

 

Paul Cobb-Sales Associate

 

Paul recently joined Alliance Insurance sales team. He will focus on group products for the Montgomery Area. In addition to group products, Paul is an integral part of our commitment to Voluntary Benefits.

 Born and raised in Montgomery Alabama 1988 graduate of Hopper Academy. After graduation Paul joined Tractor & Equipment Company as inside Sales Department. In 1992 Paul was promoted and moved to Tuscaloosa as an Outside Equipment Salesman. More recently, Paul worked in the Equipment rental industry gaining valuable contacts and insight to a variety of industries in and around construction.

 Paul is married to the former Kelly Kamykoski and lives in Prattville Alabama with their 3 children Tatum, Kamy, Anne Turner.

 

 

Vicki Maddox-Account Manager

 

Vicki Maddox has worked in the insurance industry for over 15 years and joined Alliance Insurance Group in 2008 as a Customer Service Representative. She now is the Account Manager for the Group Benefits Department and is responsible for marketing and managing all group accounts.

 

Born in Auburn and a 1990 graduate of Auburn University, Vicki received a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice with a Psychology minor. She moved to Montgomery after graduating from college. 

 

Jason Hicks-Benefit Advisor

Jason was born and raised in Montgomery Alabama. After high school he joined the United States Army and was assigned to the 217th Military Police Company.He attended Troy State University in Montgomery.

 

Jason started with Alliance the end of 2003 and obtained his insurance license in early 2004. Prior to joining Alliance he spent 10 years with the largest swimming pool distributor in the country, starting in customer service and progressing into sales and then management.

 

Jason his wife Sheila and two boys reside in Millbrook Alabama.
